How We Started

Many of the foundational concepts of Studio Assistant gestated in founder Steve Bartlett’s head for over a decade. A lifelong audio engineer & producer, Steve knew there had to be a better way to organize the industry and distribute the data entry needed to appropriately credit artists, engineers and songwriters.

When the pandemic struck and the entire world faced significant uncertainty, Steve decided this was the perfect opportunity to dive full time into his ideas.

Since 2020, Studio Assistant has grown in scale and expertise to become the preeminent studio, business, and artist platform in the music industry. Today, that foundation powers connected infrastructure, enterprise-grade compliance, and an architecture designed to evolve alongside the industry.
